Scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville, NC

Biltmore Farms hotels provide easy access to the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, NC. Plan your Blue Ridge Mountain vacation with us.

The Blue Ridge Parkway has been called "America's Favorite Drive". Stretching over 400 miles, it is the nation's first and longest rural parkway. The Parkway connects Shenandoah National Park in Virginia with Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina. Visitors to The Blue Ridge Parkway can count on majestic mountain views accompanied by flowing meadows and valleys, as well as comforting, iconic scenery such as split rail fences, old farmsteads and other historic structures.

As part of the National Park System, the Blue Ridge Parkway offers several enjoyable recreation areas along the way. Recreational opportunities include visitor centers, camp grounds, picnic areas and trails. In some cases, lodges, restaurants and other facilities are also available.

There are several entrances onto the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Asheville area, although there are no exits onto the Parkway from Interstate highways.

It is also important to note that depending on the weather, the higher stretches of the parkway may be closed during the winter months (November-March). It is best to check the weather and plan ahead.
